v1.22.0New

Waiting isn't blocked

Clients can say they're waiting on someone else, and Today tells you when a client has gone quiet.

  • Clients tap "Waiting on someone else" and can add an expected date. Reminders pause until then, and no alert email goes out.
  • If the date passes, the task shows up in Today so you can check in.
  • Today flags live projects where the client hasn't opened their link in 10 days and work is overdue.
  • Moved a card by mistake? Tap Undo on the message that pops up.
v1.21.0Clients

A clean style for client links

Pick Bold or Clean for each client's link. Their brand color stays either way.

  • Set the default style on the client's page, next to the link color.
  • Clients can flip styles with the palette button on their link.
v1.20.0Clients

Clients can find all their projects

Clients with several projects can switch between them, or type their email to get every project link in one email. Still no password.

  • A Your projects button on client links lists projects opened on that device
  • clientonboarding.ai/portal emails a contact fresh links to every live project they're on
  • Turning off a project's link also turns off links sent this way
v1.19.0Clients

Clients tick checklists, you confirm

Clients can tick checklist items on their link. Nothing counts as done until your team confirms it.

  • Client ticks show as "Client says done" with Confirm or Not yet
  • Turn a numbered list in a comment into checklist items in one click
  • Blocked steps show the client the real reason, and who flagged it
  • Add a new client contact straight from a task's Owner field
v1.18.0Board

Log time, send a status update, get sign-off

Track team hours on tasks, write the Friday update in one click, and let clients formally approve key steps.

  • Open a task and tap +30m to log time. Only your team sees it. Weekly totals and CSV under Time
  • Status update builds a copy-ready summary from the board, with a quick on-track check
  • Push a due date later and you can shift every later task by the same days, with Undo
  • Tick Client signs off on a client task. They type their name to approve it, and it is recorded
v1.17.0Board

@mention a teammate. Everything else waits for the morning

Type @ in a task note to email that person right away. Other comments come once a day in one short email.

  • Type @ in a task note and pick a teammate. They get an email with a link back
  • Each morning you get one summary of comments on your projects that weren't sent to you
  • Tasks with lots of back and forth get a nudge to hop on a 15-minute call
v1.16.0Board

Quick update: paste notes, update the board

Paste call notes, an email or a Slack message. We match each line to a task and suggest the change.

  • Open a project and press Quick update
  • Check the suggestions, then press Apply. Nothing changes before that
  • Owners see these fast answers per project on Billing
v1.15.0Board

Faster everyday clicks

Small shortcuts for the things you do every day on a project.

  • Tap My tasks to see only what's on your plate.
  • Copy a ready-to-send intro message with the client link.
  • Set a due date in one tap: Today, Friday or +7 days.
v1.14.0Board

See who said what, and assign in one tap

Notes carry names, links click, and the board shows what just happened.

  • Every note shows who wrote it — your teammate or the client contact on the link
  • Links in notes are clickable and saved to Resources, tagged with the task
  • Tap the owner on any card to assign it without opening the task
  • Add a checklist inside a task and see "3/8 done" right on the card
  • Fresh client notes and blockers show as one line under the card title
  • Pick which client contact a link is for, so their notes carry their name
v1.13.0Clients

Get an email when a client is blocked

Blockers reach you right away, everything else waits quietly inside the project.

  • Client clicks "I'm blocked"? The people on the project get one email with their note
  • Clients can tick "urgent" on a comment to email you too — routine comments never do
  • A bell on each project collects client comments, blockers and submissions; anyone can mark one handled
  • An eye icon shows visits, tasks done, comments and blockers at a glance — no emails
v1.12.0Website

Build a test plan on the homepage

Type a client and your rough process on the homepage and watch a board appear.

  • Type it or just say it with the mic
  • See it as a real board: to do, in progress, blocked, done
  • Open the client's view to see exactly what your client gets
v1.11.0Projects

See who created each project

Every project and draft shows who created it and when.

  • Switch between Mine and All
  • Drafts start on My drafts
  • Whoever creates a project is on it from the start
v1.10.0Board

Draft first. Set live when ready.

Move cards and fix dates first. Nothing reaches your client until you click Set live.

  • In draft: no welcome email, no link, no reminders
  • Set live creates the client link and emails the sponsor
v1.9.0Board

Link cards. Dates move themselves.

Hold one card over another to say "do this after". When something finishes late, the cards after it move too.

  • Drag normally to change columns; hold for a second to link or unlink
  • Cards that can't start yet say "Not ready yet"
  • A warning shows if go-live is now at risk
  • Clients only see tasks that are ready for them
v1.8.0Reminders

Assign a task, they get an email

Put a name and email on a task and that person gets an email about it right away, instead of waiting for the next Monday or Thursday recap.

  • Works for your own team and for client contacts
  • Assign five things in a row and it sends one email, not five
  • Client contacts get their personal link; teammates get a link to the project
  • The Monday and Thursday recaps carry on as before
v1.7.0Assistants

Start an onboarding from ChatGPT

Connect ChatGPT once, then describe a rollout in plain English and it builds the draft for you — you review and launch it in the app.

  • Tell ChatGPT the client, the project, the go-live date and your rough notes
  • It hands back a link into the review screen with the full plan already laid out
  • Nothing goes live until you check it and hit launch
  • It can also create a new client company, and asks first if the name looks close to one you already have
  • It can never rename, complete, archive, delete or email anything
v1.6.0Templates

5 ready-made plans

Five ready-made implementation plans now ship with the app, so a brand-new workspace has something to start from before it has saved a single template.

  • Healthcare software go-live, managed IT onboarding, website design & launch, marketing retainer kickoff and brand identity
  • Each one comes with phases, who owns what, relative timing and the questions to ask the client
  • Use one straight away — pick the client and dates and every task is re-dated for you
  • Copy a starter to your templates when you want to make it yours; the original stays untouched
  • Filter the Templates page between your own plans and the starters
v1.5.0Assistants

Ask ChatGPT about your boards

Connect ClientOnboarding.ai to ChatGPT or Claude once, then talk to your real boards in plain English — and start a new implementation without opening the app.

  • Ask what's overdue, who owes what, or where a rollout stands, and get an answer from your live board
  • Say the client, project and go-live date and it drafts the plan, then hands you a link to review it
  • Add a new client company from chat, with a check so you don't end up with two of the same name
  • Your assistant can only create — it can never complete a task, delete anything, or email your client
v1.4.0Board

Assign many cards at once

Filter the board down to the work you mean, tick the cards, and hand them all to one person in a single move.

  • Select several cards and set the owner for all of them together
  • Works with the status, department and overdue filters
  • The dashboard opens with client cards collapsed, so you see the whole portfolio first
  • Client updates now say which task they're about
v1.3.0People

Contacts for both teams

Keep the real people on a rollout in one panel — your team and theirs — with names, roles and emails, so reminders reach the right person.

  • Our side and their side, each with name, job title and email
  • Client contacts with an email are added to the reminder recap automatically
  • Save a client's answer to a "who is your…" question straight into contacts with one click
  • Choose who on your team is on a project; teammates see only the projects they're on
v1.2.0Team

Admin, editor and view-only roles

Invite your team and decide what each person can do, enforced everywhere — not just hidden in the interface.

  • Three levels: admin, editor and view-only
  • Editors run every implementation they're on; admins manage the company and invitations
  • View-only people can follow a rollout without changing anything
v1.1.0Clients

Ask your client questions in the link

Ask for the logins, contacts and details you need inside the step that needs them. Answers come back attached to that step, and you review before it counts as done.

  • Reusable question templates; each project gets its own copy so answers stay with that rollout
  • A "Forms & answers" view per project, and one download of everything
  • Optional questions never block a client from finishing a step
  • Steps that collect information come back to you for review instead of closing themselves
v1.0.0Launch

First release: plan, link, go live

The first public release: describe a rollout in your own words and get a full onboarding board in about two minutes.

  • Steps, owners and due dates drafted from your notes and counted back from the go-live date
  • One private link for your client — no account, no software to learn
  • Reminders to both sides on a schedule, so nothing depends on you remembering
  • A dashboard that shows only what's overdue, blocked or waiting on a person today
